The Catholic Physicians Guild of Chicago provides an opportunity for Catholic physicians and dentists to come together in an atmosphere of informal conviviality to pray, learn, and relax together, to consider issues of faith and morals in medical practice, and to grow spiritually and professionally in the company of like-minded colleagues. The Guild is affiliated with the Catholic Medical Association.
The term "White Mass" is an old tradition and has to do with the vestments. The Annual White Mass of The Catholic Physicians Guild is celebrated each year on or near October 18, the Feast of St. Luke, or September 26, the feast of Ss. Cosmas and Damian.
